Real life stories

After taking a ‘laid back’ approach with my third baby, I realised 3-4 wakes during the night for feeds at 8 months probably was too many - and definitely wasn’t sustainable!

Louise filled me with confidence and ease from our first phone call.  Once I’d completed my questionnaire we discussed the goal and Louise got to work setting my plan.

The plan was thorough, yet clear to follow.  I particularly found the use of Google smart-sheet logging each day useful - and Louise was so efficient providing the motivation needed with comments and recommendations throughout, both on our spreadsheet and WhatsApp.

It’s not an exaggeration to say, in the two weeks working with Louise, the changes we saw made such a big difference to our lives!  Not only did we meet the goal of just feeding once a night, we also noticed a big shift in mood and happiness with our daughter.  Louise really does offer an overall package - I came away thinking much more about nutrition and also have detailed follow up info to take me through the next stages.

Money SO well spent. Thank you, Louise.

My husband and I have two children who were brilliant at sleeping and flourished on their sleeping routine. Therefore I thought that when child number three came along we had got this down to a tee! I was very wrong! We were so sleep deprived that we were doing anything we could to grab an hour here or there during the night and had caused very many bad sleeping habits along the way.

A friend recommended Louise for her excellent sleep training methods and we are so glad we did it!

Louise's approach was very detailed, forthright and extremely supportive. She was able to listen and take in all the details of what we needed as a family, as the sleep deprivation was affecting us all. After going through the daily and nightly plan we started. The first few days and nights were tough but it was so good to have Louise at the end of the phone to have her support us and tell us that what we were doing was right and if we needed to change our tactics! Every detail of eating, naps, and how the baby went to sleep were shared with Lousie and she was able to comment everyday on what patterns were occurring and what we needed to do.

In the space of two weeks we went from our 6 month old waking up 5-6 times a night and having to be rocked to sleep during the day, to waking up once a night and some nights even sleeping all the way through and the day naps where we would put the baby into his cot and he would sleep instantly. The results were amazing!

And the support from Louise didn't stop there, she left us with a detailed plan of what to expect next as our baby grows and what happens when we travel and routines go out the window.

I would strongly recommend any parent struggling with their child sleeping from baby to 3 years old to seek help from Louise. Sleep is so important for everyone, not just the baby/child and it makes a huge difference to the daily routines. And Louise is the best sleep trainer to do it with!

We are so grateful and happy to have decided to engage in the “sleep transformation” course. I was dreading it a bit when I first reached out to Louise - I am not a big fan of “crying out” and we had been through a hard time with our daughter who was born three months premature - but I had to start working again and was exhausted and tired from 3-6 times breastfeeding per night and rocking her to sleep. And it turned out, no crying-out was needed anyways!

With Louise’s empathetic approach and help we restructured our day, decoupled feeding from sleeping, increased solid and liquid intake, went down from 3 to 2 naps and made bedtime earlier. Now, she only wakes up once during the night for a brief feed but otherwise sleeps between 11-12 hours per night. We may even drop the night feed, soon… We also learned to differentiate between crying and grizzling and when to just leave her to it. We can now put her in the cot and leave the room. It takes her 10-15 minutes maximum until she is asleep :-)

We feel much more confident, refreshed and energetic and cannot be grateful enough for Louise’s professional support which was tailored to our needs and circumstances.

Before we met Louise, sleep was a big struggle in our house. My son was never a good sleeper since birth and I resulted in co-sleeping thinking that would ease things. It got a bit easier for me at some point but down the line my son had a breastfeeding sleep association and every time he'd wake up at night he would need to be breastfed back to sleep. This got so tiring as it could be as many as seven or eight times per night. I was soo exhausted physically and mentally and I know my son was too.

Spoke to Louise and she was amazing. What I liked best is how she worked around my needs as I wasn't ready to stop breastfeeding and we wanted a gentle approach to help all of us.

She made a sleep plan that worked for us and allowed me to still breastfeed. She walked every step of the journey with us and was always readily available to answer any questions we had and guide us through each step of our plan. My son had consolidated all his sleep by day 10.

We are soo much happier and well rested now. Plus my hubby gets to do bedtime now and he loves it.

I cannot begin to say how thankful my family and I are for all your guidance and assistance in sleep training my son Myles.

Just 3 weeks ago, Myles had no sleep routine, he would sleep as late as Midnight on some nights and would wake up past 10 AM daily. To make matters worse, I forgot what sleeping the entire night felt like as Myles would wake up at least 5 times every night to breastfeed. Not only was I sleep deprived, but the quality of our sleep was compromised.

Fast forward to the current situation: Myles sleeps 12 hours a night, he gets 2 restorative naps daily and life has never been better!  Myles sleeping by 7:30 PM means I can sit on the couch and watch a late-night movie or catch up on my favourite series while sipping on my favourite glass of wine 😀. I can finally have me-time! By sleeping through the night in his own cot means I too get to have quality sleep! Myles is now happier, more active, and eats very well!

Your guidance, thoroughness, patience, your professionalism is very much appreciated. I would highly recommend your services to all mummies out there who have babies that don't sleep through the night. Myles is living proof that sleep training works! You will remain in our hearts for a long long time.

I contacted Louise when my baby was just 3 1/2 weeks old, not to fix a sleeping problem but to prevent it being a problem in the future.

Louise gave us the best advice and tools to develop good sleeping habits.

As a new Mum I now feel so much more confident in knowing what my baby’s cues are when he’s becoming sleepy and how best to settle him.

Already at six weeks old Phoenix is starting to send himself to sleep after some gentle encouragement and is waking only once in the night to feed.

The program Louise provided offered a plan to aim for, the routine gives me more flexibility as I can now plan my day a little more, whereas before I didn’t have a clue when he would be awake/sleeping.

It’s very early days but I know with Louise’s help, advice and support we are off to a great start and that I’m giving Phoenix the tools to help him sleep well, happy baby = happy mum.

My Family and I take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for the support, guidance, training and the endless tips in sleep training our youngest daughter Eileen. I have two older girls but until two weeks ago I didn't know what sleep training was. Eileen could hardly sleep throughout the night in her cot, and after an hour, she would move into my bed and breastfeed every other second till morning. I used to wake up tired. Her naps were very poor, as she could sleep at 10am and again in the afternoon. Each nap never lasted one hour.

After this two-week training, Eileen sleeps throughout the night from 7pm to 7am with no feeds at all. She naps for two hours, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, and wakes up well rested, happier and very active. This is the best gift for my daughter Eileen. I can't believe this! but I sleep throughout the night as well. So, we have a happy baby and a happier mum in our house.

We really appreciate you because you made this possible for us. You remained patient with me and reminded me to be consistent even when I felt like giving up. I'll be forever grateful.

I am truly grateful for your assistance on helping Yulah with her sleep routine. I don't think words would really describe how appreciative I am because we have come a long way with her, she would never nap more than 20minutes. And at night after every one hour, she would be awake, and breastfeed throughout the night which would make me frustrated and tired in the morning. I did a lot of research on how to improve her sleep but couldn’t find any convincing or satisfying answers.

I have seen a lot of improvement with Yulah. She can now sleep for long stretches at night and not breastfeed. Yesterday and today, I was so amazed she slept throughout the night until morning. I had to peep on her if she is still breathing.. Lol! All thanks to you, not only has she become a great sleeper but has become more of a happier, playful baby and breastfeeds less during the day.

I have really enjoyed how you have been effective taking me through the whole sleep training process, and always available to answer any questions I had and above all your humility and kindness are unmatched. Thank you so much.

Louise saved my sanity!

We went from rocking our 5 month old to sleep (so I guess Louise saved my back as well) to him self settling in his cot.

The day time catnaps turned into 2 hours and the nights went from sitting up and holding him all night to long independent stretches.

Louise’s gentle nature provided us with the confidence to make the changes needed.

The continued check ins were so reassuring and Louise went above and beyond to answer any questions we had along the way.

The support Louise has given us is invaluable. A much happier household for everyone!

I don't know how or what to start with, just for you to know that you are a pop Angel. By this I mean an Angel that popped up when I least expected and I was drowning.

Before I knew about you, my kids were antisleepers, they use to drain every bit of us in the house. Sleep deprivation can cause a lot and that’s when I knew sleep was important in my life.

You came along and what you did with my twins, it's unbelievable. They sleep at night without wakes, they feed so much better in the day, they drink a lot, they look rested……..I only saw this is movies and dreams.

Thank you Louise, just thank you saved us, them and continue saving others. I feel like running around and tell every mom about you. We love you Louise!

Sleep training always seemed like a bit of a daunting process to me. My mind immediately filled with thoughts of endless crying and a rigorous routine that killed any flexibility. But, in reality, this couldn’t be further from the truth! Sleep training has absolutely enhanced and changed our lives, it’s amazing how quickly Tessa adapted to the routine and actually it allowed for more flexibility throughout the day, and quality time with a happy, well rested bub. We couldn’t have done it without Louise, your comprehensive notes accompanied with the incredible support over the phone was truly invaluable and really set us up for success, and I can’t thank you enough.

We used Louise to help with our second baby’s sleep in those early few weeks adjusting to life with a new baby alongside a toddler! Louise was very understanding of our situation and gave us a tailored bespoke plan to follow and more importantly the confidence to know what we were doing was right by our baby, who was very different to our first baby! We now have a 2 month old who sleeps through the night and has a very good sleep routine during the day so I know when she is sleeping and when she is awake meaning, as a busy working mum, I can work around her keeping us both happy! Would highly recommend.

Miranda - Edinburgh

We were already in a reasonably good routine with our second born at around 7 months old, but he was still waking twice in the night and waking up every morning at around 4.30/5am, which just wasn’t working for us as a family!

In steps Louise with a few changes to the day time routine and a structure for night time wakings and having given her plan full commitment for 2 weeks, things really started to change. Louise was there for us every step of the way and more than anything she gave me the confidence to persevere with the plan and hey presto we now have a sleeper!

Louise was amazingly understanding and also incredibly knowledgable, but more than anything she was really good at tuning in to us as a family and adapting the plan as we went along which was really important, as with a toddler running around the house it is not always easy to follow what would be a normal baby routine.

I can not recommend Louise enough, if you have the confidence to stick to a plan, you will with out a shadow of doubt reach your sleep goals!

Mothers To BE

I loved the Mother To Be course. With so many books out there, it brought everything you actually need to know together for me in a perfect to the point and easily accessible way. Thank you Louise for filling me confidence ahead of my new arrival! I couldn’t recommend this course enough.

Wow! What an amazing guide for all mums! I wish this had been available when we had our first bubba, but we still learnt a huge amount as we get ready to welcome our second…!

Becoming parents for the first time is overwhelming to say the least, but this course gives you an idea of what to expect when your little one arrives plus lots of tips and tricks to help you through the first few months!
